Course Details:
The course will take place over six Thursday evenings as follows:
23rd and 30th October, 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th November from 7pm-9.30pm each evening.
A little background about the organiser:
Esi Acquaah-Harrison is a highly sought-after singing, voice and dialect coach whose extensive credits span theatre, television, and live performance. Her coaching work includes Moreno (Theatre503), The High Table, My Father's Fable and the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize-winning Lava (Bush Theatre), Punk Rock (Theatre Royal Stratford East), Sex Education (Series 3, Netflix), Beneatha's Place (The Young Vic), Start (Mountview), Desert Boy and Love & Money (LAMDA), Pigeon English (Bristol School of Acting), and Stop Kiss (RADA), The House of Shades (Almeida Theatre starring Anne-Marie Duff), Samuel Takes a Break (Yard Theatre) and No More Mr Nice Guy (Lewisham Theatre)
Before moving into coaching, Esi enjoyed an extraordinary performance career. She toured the world for a decade (2010–2019) as the lead female singer and original cast member in Cirque du Soleil’s Totem. Prior to that, she starred as Rafiki in Disney’s The Lion King at Disneyland Paris. She has also shared the stage with icons including Luther Vandross, Jessye Norman, Michael Ball, Mariah Carey, Sir Tom Jones, and the London Community Gospel Choir.
