Conductors Workshop
The focus of this workshop is to help conductors get a better understanding of standard symphonic percussion instruments.
This free workshop, led by Raynor Carroll, retired Principal Percussionist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, focuses on the orchestral percussion section—instruments, personnel, and logistical considerations. This is a great opportunity for conductors to learn more about the heartbeat and rhythm section of the orchestra, and ask questions concerning mallets and sound production, ensemble, duties of a principal, optimal set-up, etc. Attendees are encouraged to send any questions they may have prior to the workshop to: info@abop.us
Admission and registration are free. Donations are accepted.
