Concussions: 2019

The CACTIS Foundation is a community-based 501 (c) 3 institution focused on advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. We accomplish this by supporting research-oriented preclinical and clinical programs, and early phase clinical trials and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for health care professionals. Our current focus is in the area of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) aka concussions, in young athletes, victims of domestic violence, industrial and motor vehicle accidents, the military and first responders, with a significant attention to addressing health care delivery disparities and underserved populations.

<H2 CLASS="p1">Renowned leaders in the area of concussion management, neurology, neuro-optometry, neurotrauma research and physical medicine and rehabilitation come together to present the latest research and treatments for patients of all ages, and from all causes. The goal is to link experts and researchers with providers and those administering and involved with programs for individuals at risk for concussions to enhance the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of these individuals. Pre- and post- course questionnaires will be administered to attendees, with CE and CME credits available.</H2>
