Concord Cuddle Party!

We're back and ready to cuddle up in 2026! Katie will be in class this day, so this event will be hosted by Katie's Cuddle Assistant and facilitator-in-training, Chris.

About Cuddle Party:

We'll begin the event with a Welcome Circle where we introduce ourselves, go over the rules of Cuddle Party, and do some exercises to help practice the Rules of Cuddling. Following the Welcome Circle we’ll have a few hours for free-style cuddles. We’ll end with a short closing circle to reflect and transition out of the event. You do not have to cuddle at Cuddle Party. Feel free to bring a book, paper and markers, or just hang out and meet new like-minded people! Location:

-Private residence in Concord, CA (near Newhall Park)

-Address will be disclosed in the Final Details email sent on the Thursday before the event.

-There is plenty of street parking.

-Accessibility: There is one stair to enter the location.

Cost:

-Suggested amount is $40, but offering a sliding scale if you need to pay less or you can pay more to sponsor someone who needs a little assistance.

-BIPOC discount suggested amount is $25. BIPOC discounts are for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.

-No one turned away for lack of funds. Pay what you can.

-If you're able to pay a little bit extra, that can help sponsor someone needing a discounted ticket.

Please be on time:

-Doors open at 1:00pm and close PROMPTLY at 1:30pm.

-There will be no admittance after 1:30pm, so please be mindful of traffic.

Please bring:

-Pajamas or other comfortable clothes. There will be space to change, if need be.

-Any other items that make you feel comfortable. Pillows, blanks, and other fluffy item will be provided, but if you have a favorite blanket or stuffie, please feel free to bring them along.

Snacks:

-Snacks will be provided. We will do our best to accommodate food allergies, but if you have a particular food allergy or have a snack you would like to share, then please feel free to bring it.

Covid Policy:

-You MUST take a rapid test the day of the event and show either a time-stamped (including date) negative test result or test upon arrival. If you test upon arrival, please wear a mask until your test is negative.

-If you have any Covid symptoms, have been recently exposed to Covid, have a rash, or symptoms of an illness of any kind, please stay home. Your ticket will be refunded.

Other important info:

-You must be 18+ to attend.

-This is a sober event. Please do not attend under the influenced of any substances.

-This is a low-scent space. Please do NOT wear heavy scents or perfumes. Many people are sensitive to them.

About Chris:

I am a queer non-binary writer and certified personal trainer living in Lafayette.

I am a frequent cuddle party assistant, have a degree in English and a certificate in personal training. I've been a working writer for fifteen years about topics like social justice and writing (but I also have a novel tucked in a drawer that I'm working on), and recently added personal training to get me out of my chair and doing something I love half time. I hope some day to incorporate writing, personal training, and a woo-woo spiritual practice into service to my community as a pagan priest.

About Katie:

I am a queer, polyam musician and mom of 2 living in the East Bay.

I am a Cuddle Party Facilitator. I am a Sexual Health Educator, I have a Masters Degree in Economics, and just earned a certificate in Diversity and Social Justice. I am currently in school for massage therapy focusing on Ortho-Bionomy, Craniosacral, Reiki, and other energy work. My goal is to help people with pain and help figure out where trauma is stored in the body, especially as it realtes to past consent violations.
