What is Conclave NEOFA?
The Conclave aims to gather Members, friends, family, and the interested public for a weekend of Odd Fellowship in the woods of Maine. You do not need to be an Odd Fellow to attend! Visit our website.


  • Saturday is an Odd Festival - Arts and crafts, music, trinket trading, and Odd fun.
  • Sunday is a day of service - Help us prepare Camp NEOFA for their summer season!
  • Rituals happen after dark - Odd Fellows are invited to perform and complete ritual work for IOOF, Rebekah, and Encampment Degrees.

    Drop in or stay for the weekend. Cabin or tent overnight stays are available Friday - Monday during the conclave and are donation-based. Meals in the cafeteria are a flat fee. No one will be turned away based on affordability.

What is Camp NEOFA?
The NEOFA campus has 12 cabins, each housing up to 10 people, and five ancillary buildings. "The Castle” is the last remaining building from the old Montville Fairgrounds. With over 100 acres of open fields, pine groves, and 2,300 feet of shoreline on beautiful True’s Pond.

Camp NEOFA was founded in 1957; the realization of a dream on the part of some enterprising Odd Fellows and Rebekahs in the Northeast. NEOFA stands for North East Odd Fellows’ Association, which is comprised of members from the Jurisdictions of: Atlantic Provinces, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Quebec, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

What are the Odd Fellows?

The Odd Fellows are a fraternal organization, also known as the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), with a history dating back to the 18th century. The organization's core principles revolve around "Friendship, Love, and Truth" and promote service, charity, and community involvement.

What is a conclave?

A "conclave" is a large gathering of IOOF members.

Do I need to be a member of the Odd Fellows to attend Conclave NEOFA?

No. Conclave NEOFA is open to IOOF Members as well as friends, family, and the interested public. You do not need to join the IOOF to participate in many of our weekend events. There will be some members-only events, occurring primarily at night.

Do I need to attend all four days of Conclave NEOFA?

No. Attendees are welcome to come to NEOFA for any length of time throughout the long weekend. You do not need to stay overnight.

Is alcohol or smoking permitted?

Camp NEOFA is a substance-free space.

When is check in / Check out?

Check in for Cabin and Tent stays are 3pm - 6pm. Please contact us at conclaveneofa@gmail.com about a later check in. Check out is at noon on Monday.

Are kids welcome?

Yes. Children under 18 are welcome with an accompanying adult.

How does cabin availability work? Will I be sharing my cabin?

We'll do our best to provide Cabin space to all who request it. If space fills up, priority goes to those with accessibility needs, large groups, small children, and early registrants. Solo travelers and small groups may be placed with others.
