Concierto Íntimo
An intimate evening of music in the historic Covarrubias Adobe
Join us for an intimate concert in our Spanish era adobe by José Antonio Rodríguez, one of Spain’s leading flamenco guitarist-composers.
José Antonio Rodríguez has collaborated with an extraordinary range of artists, including Paco de Lucía, Alejandro Sanz, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Astor Piazzolla, and many others across flamenco, jazz, and popular music. In his 20s, he became the youngest flamenco guitar professor at the Córdoba Conservatory and went on to compose for orchestra, ballet, film, and television. Featured in Carlos Saura’s Flamenco and a contributor to international hits such as “Macarena” and Alejandro Sanz’s No Es Lo Mismo.
Rodríguez has released nine acclaimed albums to date. His recent work—including El Guitarrista Azul and Adiós Muchachos—continues to earn recognition for its powerful, evocative contemporary flamenco style.
Seats are very limited and include wine and a brief pre-show reception.
The concert is co-hosted by Flamenco! Santa Barbara, a nonprofit led by world-renowned artistic director María Bermúdez.
