Learn how to reduce food and yard waste and receive a free composter!
Come join City of Oldsmar Environmental Management staff and a UF/IFAS expert to learn more about composting. Each registrant will receive a free composter at the end of the workshop. We will demonstrate what goes into a composter, so feel free to bring appropriate food scraps from home.
Why compost? Composting is beneficial because it helps reduce food and yard waste that would otherwise end up in a landfill. The soil produced at the end of the composting process has a high nutrient content, which reduces the need for fertilizers.
This workshop will be held on Saturday, July 18th, from 9am-11am. Join us at Shelter 1 at Bicentennial Park in Oldsmar, FL.
Please only sign up for ONE spot per household. Pre-registration is required. Only ONE composter per registrant.
