Sustainable Walnut Creek is an organization founded in 2012 to promote sustainable living and environmental stewardship in Walnut Creek, California.Our mission is to educate and empower the local community to adopt sustainable practices and reduce their impact on the environment. We organize events, workshops, and educational programs to raise awareness about sustainable living, climate change, and environmental issues.We also collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and government agencies to promote sustainable practices and create a more resilient and sustainable community.

Sustainable Walnut Creek partnered with <a href="https://www.recyclesmart.org/" title="https://www.recyclesmart.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RecycleSmart</a> to provide this lecture-style workshop that covers the basics of backyard composting (hot/cold composting), Vermicomposting, mulching and grasscycling, with time for Q&amp;A and troubleshooting.Marian Woodard, compost expert, worm wrangler, teacher, and Master Gardener will be your instructor. Marian also manages the beautiful <a href="http://www.rodgersranch.org/" title="http://www.rodgersranch.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Rodgers Ranch Heritage Cente</a>r in Pleasant Hill.Children are encouraged to attend.
