Composting 101

Join Grow Pittsburgh and Clean Air Council for this beginner-friendly composting workshop! We’ll teach you the basics of composting in your own backyard, and will have a hands-on demonstration on how to manage your compost bin. We will discuss topics such as what you should and shouldn’t compost, how to critter-proof your bin, and how to maintain your compost bin through the seasons. Composting literature will be handed out at the event, but feel free to bring your notebook as well. Participants from Swissvale, Braddock, North Braddock and Clairton will also have a chance to sign up for free compost bins.
