About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 30 minutes

Don't let those flowers and food scraps go to waste! Use them to create color and dye fabric naturally before sending them to the compost pile. Join the LES Ecology Center for a hands-on workshop and learn how to bundle dye using flowers and food waste.

Beyond the basics of bundle dyeing, we'll also discuss food waste, waste reduction and how you can compost in NYC. Participants will leave with their very own bundle dyed handkerchief. This workshop is best suited for adults.

All materials are provided but feel free to bring your own dried or wilting flower bouquet.

Thank you to the Center for Wellbeing and Happiness for opening their space for this workshop.
