About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for our second event, Tuesday May 21st at 6:30PM at Chicano Park. The theme for this event is "Collective Rest" inspired by Tricia Hersey and her work, The Nap Ministry. As Tricia Hersey says, "rest is radical because it disrupts the lie that we are not doing enough." We want to provide caregivers with the space to rest, be, and dream. Upon arrival, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and connect with the community. At 7:15pm we will begin a grounding meditation followed by restorative movement and a Sound Bath. This is an outdoor event at Chicano Park near Lady Bird Lake. There is parking in the highlighted areas on the street as well as a small parking lot under 35 and off Chicon street (shown on the picture). The blue dot is where we will be meeting. It is near a public restroom. If you have any questions please let us know!
