Compass is an exclusive experience that helps “fill the gap” for young adults who’ve decided that the traditional college pathway isn’t for them.

It’s for individuals who want to build a foundation for their future based on real-world experiences, friendships that broaden their horizons, and challenges that transform uncertainty into strength. We’ll select only 16 individuals for this memorable and formative journey – it’s not for everybody.

Compass Details

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18+ or completed High School by June 2024 to apply
• Limited to only 16 students for 2024-2025

COST:

• $9,500 per year (August 2023-May 2024)
• $1000 Early Acceptance Scholarship (Accepted & Paid by May 31, 2024)
• Work Study Program allows students to earn money working on campus at Camp Cho-Yeh
• $500 Discount for upfront full payment

CAMPUS LIFE:

• Dorm Style Room & Board
• Meals included
• Access to common space with full kitchen, lounge, theater & game room
• Weekly scheduled activities and camp community events

EDUCATION:

• Online courses through Messiah University, a nationally ranked private Christian university in Pennsylvania
• On-Site visit to Messiah during New York trip
• 12 transferrable college credits
• Students who complete Compass qualify for $2500 scholarship to continue education at Messiah University

TRAVEL:

• 3 domestic trips per year (locations subject to change)
• Speculator, New York
• Ouachita Mountains, Arkansas
• Padre Island, Texas
• 1 trip to Passion Conference in Atlanta, GA
• 1 international mission trip to Cuba (not included in tuition cost; students will be equipped to raise support for this trip)

WORK:

• Compass Students eligible to work 20-25 hours per week at Camp Cho-Yeh
• Summer Staff Scholarship allows accepted students to earn up to $1500 scholarship that can be applied to cost of Compass
• Limited Academic Scholarships available to students who complete Messiah Courses maintaining a 4.0 GPA
