Louisiana Comp Blog is the result of a void in the workers’ compensation industry. Despite the importance of workers’ comp to Louisiana’s economic growth and the health and vitality of our workforce, dedicated reporting on industry developments, key legal and medical issues, and regulatory concerns remains scattered and often difficult to access. Louisiana Comp Blog aims to provide a solution to that coverage problem by publishing current, compelling news pieces for workers’ comp professionals in our great state.

Comp in Focus is a bimonthly industry speaker luncheon hosted by <A HREF="http://compblog.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Louisiana Comp Blog</A>. Each event features a different "hot button" issue and an expert speaker to discuss and debate it with attendees from both sides of the aisle.
The next event will be held on Tuesday, September 18th, 2018, in the Twelfth Night room at Antoine's Restaurant <A HREF="http://casaborrega.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></A>in New Orleans.
Vocational rehabilitation counselor <A HREF="https://www.lipinskiandassociates.com/company/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Louis Lipinski</A> with <A HREF="https://www.lipinskiandassociates.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Lipinski and Associates LLC</A> will discuss vocational rehabilitation strategies, specifically transferable skills analysis. 
Is Louisiana doing enough to utilize voc rehab in getting injured workers back to work? How can carriers, employers and claimant representatives do more to make voc rehab efforts successful?
