Ever think "I'd love to make a Video/Tabletop Game"? Want to learn some new skills? Want to meet other game makers in Columbia?
 Spend a weekend at <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/ColumbiaREDI/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Columbia REDI</A> Innovation Hub hacking together new games with local developers! This event is hosted by <A HREF="http://spacesharkstudios.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">SpaceShark Studios</A> and <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/bravetoadstudio/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Brave Toad Studio</A>, two local Game Developers. There will be small prizes and contests throughout the weekend along with connections to local resources to help make your game a success and find players.  Using a variety of FREE game development tools, create original video games! We will announce the theme of the jam during the opening reception and encourage you and your team to use it as the jump off point.
Not interested in starting from scratch? Bring your current project and jam along! Just know you may not be qualified for some of the prizes. We will have resources and mentors for both Video and Tabletop Games, as well, so don't be afraid to ask for a second opinion! 
Challenge fellow devs to Smash Bros, play COD on a projector, and launch your new game all in one weekend. Pizza and other refreshments will be provided to keep everyone comfortable and hacking.

What is the theme?
Nice try! We'll be letting you know when the event starts.
 
Will there be food and drink?
Yes, but if you have any food allergies please let us know before hand so we can either try to accomodate, or let you know ahead of time if we weren't able to.
 
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
The event is open to everyone and we encourage anyone 8+ to attend even without Game Design experience.
 
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The parking garage is free during the full extent of this event
 
What should I/can I bring into the event?
You should bring a computer of some sort which is powerful enough to make your game on. Beyond that, whatever toys you like to have around while you make games!
