Visit Soul Fire Farm to learn about some of our <a href="https://www.soulfirefarm.org/theland/farmingpractices/" title="https://www.soulfirefarm.org/theland/farmingpractices/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">farming practices</a> while supporting our work and getting your hands on the land.We are asking for donations to cover the cost of snacks and lunch. Lunch will be a gluten-free, plant-based meal. Everyone including children age 2+ must have a ticket to attend.Please plan to arrive on time since orientation is an essential part of the event.

<h3>ACCESSIBILITY NOTES</h3>Weather: We gather rain or shine. Please check and dress for the weather, planning to get dirty and to be outside for hours. Depending on the day, this might mean raincoat, work boots, sun hat, work gloves, sunscreen etc. You may also want to pack a change of clothes for the way home.Terrain: The farm is situated on sloped, uneven and often muddy ground. There is a small stream with a stone crossing.Water: Please bring a reusable water bottle and avoid single use plastic containers.Food: Soul Fire will provide a gluten-free, plant-based meal. You are welcome to add something special to it! There are no dietary restrictions on what you can bring, but please clearly label the ingredients for your dish so people can make their choices. Cold-serve foods that do not require heating only. If you have other dietary restrictions we kindly ask that you bring your own meal. After the last frost and before the first frost, the bathhouse with 3 additional restrooms will be available for guests. There are also multiple sinks for hand washing and filling water bottles.Sensory Environment: There may be multiple conversations or background noise happening at once. Depending on the task and location, it may be difficult to hear low voicesInteraction level: Medium. We will invite guests to share personal stories and will ask a variety of questions about people’s experience with farming. However, participation is optional.Tasks: There will be at least 1 lower intensity task available that will typically include seating and or access to garden kneelers.Breaks: We will collectively take a 45-minute lunch break two and a half hours into the Work &amp; Learn. There will be picnic tables with bench seating available during the break.Animals: There are goats, chickens, free range cats and our working farm dog Jax present. No other animals are permitted on the farm except qualified service animals under the ADA. If you are bringing a service animal, please let us know by emailing <a href="https://programs@soulfirefarm.org/" title="https://programs@soulfirefarm.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">programs@soulfirefarm.org</a> at least 5 business days before the scheduled event. In your email, please include the type of animal and the work or task the animal has been trained to do. Service animals must be kept on leash, under control, and away from crops and livestock at all times. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted on the farm.Ride Share: While Uber and Lyft are available to the farm, they DO NOT provide service from the farm. <h3>GROUP REGISTRATION</h3>Group registration may be available for groups of 10 or more with participants 16 years and older.
