NE Seattle Tool Library

Got a collection of hole-filled socks you can't get rid of? Have you been meaning to set aside time for your latest alteration, but need some motivation? Come mend with us!Our Community Threads mending and sewing circle is a monthly event for anyone to work on their textile projects. Any textile craft is welcome! Honestly, any craft is welcome, but we will only be providing sewing supplies (at least at first). There will be sewing machines, fabric, thread and community, as well as hot tea.This will not be a class format, while there will be experienced menders present to offer advice and counsel, this is intended as a co-working space.Can't make it to this one? We plan to host it on the second weekend of each month: The second Saturday at the Shoreline Tool Library and the second Sunday at the NE Seattle Tool Library! As it grows, we may change it to a different day, but we'll let you know on <a href="https://linktr.ee/seattlereconomy" title="https://linktr.ee/seattlereconomy" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">social media</a>.ACCESSIBILITY:&nbsp;<ul><li>Much of the NE Seattle Tool Library interior is wheelchair accessible.&nbsp; All entrances have ramps that may exceed a 5 degree slope. The all-gender restroom is quite small and not ADA compliant.&nbsp;</li><li>Non-English and ASL interpreters are not provided at our classes and events, however attendees are welcome to bring their own interpreters.</li><li>Please contact us with any accessibility notes or requests.&nbsp;</li></ul>GETTING THERE:<ul><li>By transit: Served by King County Metro bus <a href="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/372.html" title="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/372.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">route 372</a> stopping along Lake City Way NE at NE 98th St.&nbsp; <a href="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/061.html" title="https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/routes-and-service/schedules-and-maps/061.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Route 61</a> stops at NE Northgate Way &amp; 23rd Ave NE and is a ½ mile walk from the tool library.</li><li>By bike: There are multiple bicycle route options available to the tool library, and you are welcome to stow your bicycle inside the tool library during your visit.</li><li>Car parking: There is a gravel parking lot that fits about 10 cars, and an asphalt parking lot that fits 5 cars. There is no ADA accessible parking. </li></ul>
