Community Songfest

Bring your child (up to age 13) and you will get in free and enjoy the youngest singers of the San Francisco Boys Chorus. (Enter code "sing" at checkout to take advantage of this offer for your family.)

This afternoon workshop will be led by the engaging and effervescent Dr. Edward Cetto. The program explores his axiom that singing music is always more fun than merely listening. Parents can join their sons, singing along with them, making the afternoon a real celebration of family and community.

If your son loves to sing, this afternoon workshop is an excellent chance for him to get a taste of our lively approach to choral singing for youngsters-- and even have a try-out right after the show.

Dr. Cetto leads the Junior Chorus of the San Francisco Boys Chorus. Previously he was Director of Choral Activities at the Conservatory of Music, University of the Pacific. Dr. Cetto, also known as Teddy, trained at the University of Iowa, the Boston Conservatory of Music and the Hartt School. He is a Kodály specialist teaching music to children. His motto: “If it’s fun, they’ll remember.”
