Community Service: 14th Annual Boston Harbor Island Stewardship Day

You, your friends and family are all invited to join the MIT Sloan Boston Alumni Association for a day of stewardship on one of Boston Harbor's spectacular islands where we will work to help preserve and maintain this unique natural resource. Tasks include everything from clearing brush to picking up trash along the shoreline.
Time: 9:00am - 3:00pm. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes prior to departure to allow time for boarding.
Where: Rowes Wharf Water Transport, 60 Rowes Wharf, Boston, located behind the Boston Harbor Hotel along Atlantic Avenue.
Parking: There is on-street parking, as well as, the option to park in the Rowes Wharf Garage or the International Garage. We would recommend taking public transportation. Rowes Wharf is very accessible via the MTBA.
Food: A Caterer will provide box lunches, as well as coffee, tea and pastries dock side to get us started.
Clothing: We recommend long-sleeve clothes and closed-toe shoes, and dress for changeable weather. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Tools, gloves, lunch and extra water will be provided, but it is important to stay hydrated.
Note: The trip runs rain or shine, but may be cancelled if weather is severe.
