The Greater Austin Reading Coalition is hosting a Community Screening of The Right to Read Film! Join us at the Central Library Special Events Center for a special screening of this thought-provoking movie. This event is hosted by the Greater Austin Reading Coalition, which is a diverse coalition of nonprofit and community leaders, librarians, teachers, and parents working toward a shared vision of supporting children, grades K – 3, to ensure they are reading on or above grade level by the fourth grade — a pivotal point in a child’s reading development. Partners include Chestnut Publishing House, Austin Public Library, Austin PBS, Black Mama’s Village – ATX, Literacy First, Barbershop Books, Book People, BookSpring, and YMCA of Austin.
