Event description

Description

This will be the first in what we hope to be an ongoing series of community film screenings at Twerton Park, the home of Bath City Football Club. We have been lucky to have the support of the Little Theatre Cinema and of charity Time Bank Plus in coordinating this event.

Members of the community are invited to join us to watch Ken Loach's latest award-winning film, 'I, Daniel Blake', which has drawn widespread acclaim and headlines for the spotlight it casts on the cruelty of the current welfare system.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Ken Loach, who is keen to hear what the community thinks of the film and the issues that it raises.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the purchase of equipment that will allow us to continue to run events such as this at the Club, and also to local charity Time Bank Plus. Time Bank are a small charity based in Twerton, which aims to reduce isolation and enhance self-esteem, confidence, skills and wellbeing through reciprocal volunteering and community involvement. Should you wish to donate to them directly, you can do so here.
