About this event

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT offers a consistent, nationwide approach to volunteer training and organization that professional responders can rely on during disaster situations, allowing them to focus on more complex tasks.

  • Units 3 and 4: Disaster Medical Operations
  • Unit 5: Disaster Psychology
  • Unit 6: Fire Safety and Utility Controls
  • Unit 7: Light Search and Rescue Operations
  • Unit 8: Terrorism and CERT
  • Unit 9: Course Review, Final Exam and Disaster Simulation

DRESS CODE: All participants must wear closed toe shoes, and long pants for this training. (There will be physical activation exercises including; safe carries, fire suppression, basic first aid, search and rescue, etc.)

* Lunch is not provided. Please bring your own lunch

Your registration fee will NOT include your gear that is necessary to attend this training. Please purchase your gear ahead of time to participate.
