Clarence D. Castile

The purpose of this event is to educate and empower the public at large on certain words, phrases and actions
Topics will focus on: de-escalation, procedural justice, implicit/explicit bias, use of force/the use of force continuum and etiquette/best practices when interacting with law enforcement or any kind of negative influence.
The event is being hosted and moderated by Clarence D. Castile, local Business Man and Entrepreneur.  Mr. Castile has been a resident of the St. Paul Midway community for over 40 years. In 2016, he lost his nephew in an officer involved fatality and has since made it his goal to develop policies and procedures for the protection of our law enforcement communities, and most especially our citizens.

James Densley, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at Metropolitan State University
Densley has been an invited or keynote speaker on three continents and has received global media attention for his work on street gangs, criminal networks, violence, and policing.
 
Art Knight, Chief of Staff, Minneapolis Police Department
Deputy Chief Knight serves as a connection between the MPD and the communities it serves, leading the department's progressive initatives including the National Initiative for Building Trust & Legitimacy. An officer since 1992, DC Knight has worked in both the Third and Fourth Precints in additiona to a variety of investigative roles.
 
Dr. Raj Sethuraju, Associate Professor, Metropolitan State University
Dr. Raj has over 20 years of community-based activism as a researcher and educator. Inspired by the resilience of our youth and the men in our prison systems, he trains school staff, probation agents, community members, and justice personnel on restorative practices, trauma and healing, value centered leadership, community building and unpacking implicit biases and raising consciousness utilizing restorative practices.
