<p>We’ll be kicking off this year’s community fundraising campaign with family-friendly activities and a chance to sample all United Way has to offer, followed by a brief program and cookout complete with all of your ballpark favorites. And there just may be a couple of surprise guests!</p><h3>Tuesday, August 23, 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Madison Mallards Duck Pond</h3><p>Bring your friends, family and neighbors to be a part of the change. Together we are The Power of Many. Working for All. </p>

<h2>Event Schedule</h2><p><strong>4:00 pm</strong>: Explore United carnival - get a  free United Way Volunteer t-shirt, participate in games and activities for prizes, learn about our community and how you can get involved, and create Paper Product Packs to be distributed to local families through our nonprofit partners. See map below for more information!</p><p><strong>5:00 pm</strong>: Ballpark refreshments courtesy of the Madison Mallards</p><p><strong>5:30 pm</strong>: Remarks by Jeff Keebler,  2022 Campaign Chair and Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Madison Gas and Electric and Renee Moe, President &amp; CEO of United Way of Dane County</p>

<h3>Explore United Booths include:</h3><ol><li><strong>Welcome! </strong>Pick up a map from our 2022 Class of Loaned Executives and start a trivia scavenger hunt for an awesome prize.</li><li>Get your <strong>United Way volunteer t-shirt</strong> from our READI (Retired Employees Are Dedicated Individuals) volunteer group! </li><li>Learn about Dane County’s most comprehensive health and human services database – <strong>United Way 211 </strong>– where live representatives are available to answer questions and connect people to the programs, services and resources they need, 24/7. </li><li>Find out what is possible with <strong>The Power of Many. Working for All.</strong> and get a temporary tattoo or sticker to show your United Way pride!</li><li><strong>We are celebrating 100 years of impact!</strong> Learn more and turn in your completed trivia scavenger hunt for a special Centennial item.</li><li>Have you heard about our newest donor network, <strong>Lead United</strong>? Find out more and play a game for a chance to win a free ticket to Lead United: Small Plates, Big Impact on October 27.</li><li><strong>Women United </strong>supports education in our community – and you can help! Learn more about the Women United Brunch on September 16 and pick up a special activity for kids.</li><li><strong>Volunteer with United Way!</strong> Find out more about United Way’s Business Volunteer Network and www.VolunteerYourTime.org and enter a drawing for a chance to win an on-site volunteer engagement at your workplace!</li><li><strong>Have a DO-GOOD time with LINC! </strong>This local network of early career professionals makes a difference through volunteering – with a social twist! Learn more and play bag toss for a chance to win a free team registration for Bags ‘n’ Brews on September 10.</li></ol>

<h2>Diaper Drive</h2><p>Amplify your impact by participating in the Diaper Drive! You can drop off diapers at Community Kickoff. Any size is appreciated and sizes 4 – 6 are especially needed. Not having access to an adequate supply of diapers is an economic barrier for many families in Dane County. Most childcare centers require parents to provide a day’s supply of diapers. When families can’t afford diapers, they can lose access to childcare and may be unable to work.</p>

<h2>Paper Product Packs</h2><p>Help us create 2,000 Paper Product Packs to distribute to our community!  When Dane County families have essential supplies, our whole community is healthier and stronger. Paper products are rarely donated and always needed. Food and nutrition assistance programs do not cover these essential items, so families may have to choose between paying for rent or buying essentials.</p>
