About this event

Community Gardens

Killeen Creators maintains multiple community gardens in the downtown area that we diligently care for with the help of community members like you. Come by and help us plant, harvest, water, weed, and love our crops.

All community members are encouraged to take what they need and to learn and teach what they can.

Join us as we get our hands dirty!

About This Garden

On this site, there once stood a very small house where a family with very big hearts lived.

The Alvarezes went on to become pivotal members of the Killeen community, including Ramon Alvarez who now serves on the Killeen City Council. It was Ramon who gifted this plot of land where his family once lived to Killeen Creators.

The Alvarezes roots run deep through Killeen. We could not think of a better place to plant our own.
