About this event

Every day, young people are deceived, manipulated, coerced, and forced into the commercial sex industry. This multibillion dollar industry is inherently harmful and systematically targets the most vulnerable in our communities.

The commercial sexual exploitation of children impacts our community and is our responsibility. Please join us in learning more about how we can recognize the signs and intervene in a supportive way.

Participants will:

  • Learn different forms of exploitation and what puts youth at greatest risk
  • Gain knowledge about demand- what is driving the commercial sex industry
  • Learn red flags/indicators that a young person may be groomed or recruited
  • Learn best practices in responding to disclosures as well as mandated reporting
  • Learn about community resources and what you can do

Doors Open at 3:30 pm
