Community Easter baking
Weekly at Yourspace.Sutton –1–3pm community meal & chats - this week we will bake and taste some Easter creations. See you in the kitchen.
Wellness Wednesday
Wellness Wednesdays is a weekly community space run by The Green Nut Community at Yourspace.Sutton, designed to promote health, wellbeing, and social connection. Each Wednesday has a different theme, ranging from plant-based cooking, foraging, fermentation, to wellbeing activities. From 11 am–1 pm we run a hands-on cooking session, followed by a community meal and chats from 1–3 pm, giving participants practical skills and opportunities to connect.
We use surplus food from Sutton Community Champions, reducing food waste while teaching affordable, nutritious cooking. Highlights include fermentation stations, a kombucha bar, seasonal cooking, and themed wellbeing sessions. The Hut is part of a larger project co-created with the community garden and health partners, integrating nutrition, mental health, and social connection into a wider Wellbeing Hub for the community.
Partnerships & Support: The project works closely with Sutton Council, local Community Champions, and NHS programmes, offering resources and support to improve community health and resilience.
Funding & Accessibility: The Hut is supported by Sutton Council and relies on funding to cover ingredients, facilitator costs, and educational resources. Booking fees help us provide more programmes, but if cost is a barrier, please get in touch – everyone is welcome. This ensures the Hut remains accessible, helping participants improve health, build connections, and learn practical wellbeing skills.
