Community Design Workshop - Community at large
Join us as we design the future of Albina together, honoring the district's history and Black roots, and celebrating it into the future.
Each of us has a vision of what we'd like the future to be. It is something we hold close as we work to make tomorrow better than yesterday. Today, Albina Vision Trust asks you to share your vision. We want to make sure your voice is heard, and that we design the future of Albina together, honoring the district's history and African-American/Black community roots, and celebrating it into the future. This workshop follows our "Been Here, Still Here" and "Hustle Highlights/Black Business Connections" Joy! Initiatives, and our introductory workshop in October.
The community design workshops will cover site programming - how spaces within the site will be used, and the overall site function. Living spaces, community/shared spaces, and business spaces will be our focus as we begin to create the forms and functions of the future Albina community.
This is one of three virtual sessions of supported design and ideation, hosted by Bobby Fouther and cameron whitten.
Also, we'd love to hear more from you about your thoughts on home, community and future planning via our initial survey, found here.
We hope to see you at the workshop!
