Community Counts 2019

Community Foundation of North Louisiana brings people and resources together to solve problems and enhance our community. Our mission is to promote philanthropy and improve the quality of life in the North Louisiana community by serving as a permanent and growing resource of expertise and funds.Established in 1961, the Foundation oversees more than $180 million in assets for the benefit of North Louisiana. The funds managed by the Foundation are invested for the community’s benefit and then are returned to the community in the form of grants to a wide variety of charitable endeavors. Since inception, the Community Foundation has granted over $100 million in grants to nonprofit organizations.

Join the Community Foundation as we release Community Counts, our annual report card on the state of Shreveport-Bossier and the data that propels our work. The study examines our MSA's quality of life on key metrics such as health, education, and poverty and compares us to 10 other similar communities in the region.A presentation will be given by Dr. Dave Norris, Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Louisiana Tech University, followed by Q&amp;A.The event will take place at the Margaret Place Properties Auditorium. The auditorium is located on the first floor of the former Sutton Children's Hospital at the main entrance.This is a free event, but seating is limited. Please reserve your seat in advance.
