A Community Consultation on Indigenous Understandings and Approaches to Autism Support

The Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres, Re-Storying Autism Project and Finding Our Power Together are collaborating to develop an Indigenous-informed autism training curriculum.

The purpose of this event is to gather community perspectives to inform an autism training curriculum. The curriculum will enhance capacity across Ontario Indigenous Friendship Centers and promote culturally safe and community driven support services.

You do not have to be an autism expert to take part. Your loved one or child or young person you work with does not have to have a formal diagnosis for you to take part.

We value the exerptise and insight you bring, and we honour Indigenous approaches - we often approach disability as a gift, not a deficit.
