Frankie Almutawa is a lifelong learner from plants and has deeply studied herbalism with a number of herb schools including Elderberry School, Arctos School, Matthew Wood Herbal Institute, and Sage Mountain. Her primary framework of practice is from a holistic and vitalist perspective that sees working together as a collaboration between client and herbalist, with a realistic, considerate, and a harm-reductionist approach for her clients to meet their health goals. Frankie prioritizes the needs of each client while offering guidance and information, while also creating space for the client and empowering them to build their own relationship with herbs that can support the body and spirit. She believes that herbal medicine is the people's medicine, and that it is everyone's right to reconnect with the land through herbalism. She also teaches herbalism classes and runs a small-batch apothecary called Pastushka Herbal Celebrations.
