Held at Huneebee Project's Bridgeport apiary - also home to GVI's Reservoir Community Farm - you'll learn about honey bee biology, the importance of pollinators, and taste some local honey. We’ll suit you up and open a honey bee hive together, which includes checking to ensure the queen and colony is healthy, and feeding or treating for pests as needed. Please wear socks and close toed shoes. We'll provide the rest!</p><p>Perfect for beginners and curious folks who want to discover how to care for these amazing little pollinators. Get hands-on experience, meet fellow bee lovers, and leave with sweet tips to bee-coming a pollinator steward.
