As part of After School Special: The 2025 School of Visual Arts Alumni Film & Animation Festival, we are pleased to present a screening of the 2025 Emmy-nominated Adult Swim animated series Common Side Effects (2025). Join show co-creator Joe Bennett (BFA 2008 Fine Arts) and assistant editor Joie Lim (BFA 2021 Animation) of Green Street Pictures as they screen multiple Season One episodes and provide behind-the-scenes insights. Preceded by the world cinematic premiere of DB Edmunds' music video Can You Feel It? (2025), directed by Stephen Jablonsky (BFA 1993 Photography, MFA 1995 Photography and Related Media).
Synopsis: Follows former high school lab mates Marshall and Frances as they unravel a conspiracy involving big pharma and the government to suppress knowledge of a rare fungus secret that may contain the solution to cure all world's diseases.
Season One of Common Side Effects aired on Adult Swim beginning in February 2025. Season Two is currently in production.
Common Side Effects is rated TV-MA, and some material may be inappropriate for children under the age of 13. Children ages 3 and under may not be admitted.
Doors will open approximately 30 minutes prior to each screening. Guests can enjoy a special selection of music videos by Amanda DiMartino (BFA 2017 Film) in the lobby while waiting to enter.

All After School Special 2025 screenings are free and open to the public. General Admission RSVPs via Eventbrite are appreciated, but not necessary, and do not guarantee admittance. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
