The Learning Tree is celebrating our 10th year birthday!10 years ago, a group of neighbors got together and formed an organization. Why? Because they were/we were the only ones to recognize the abundance in our hands and were committed to using it for our healing and for our joy.The Common Ground Gathering is a celebration of what is possible in the world when people become friends. They want to cultivate goodness in the world. This gathering will use the same lens, the lens of abundance which has been our foundation.We are excited to announce the Common Ground Gathering, a 3-day gathering to exchange information, knowledge, and skills on community-centered topics. Presentations, conversations, trainings, and practices will be located throughout Indianapolis to provide participants the opportunity to see community-based work in real time and exposure to what it literally looks like, rather than a traditional conference setting. In order to practice community work in new and innovative ways, we believe that starts with how we learn.We will hold the question: How do we cultivate a culture of abundance? How do create a new reality where every gift and contribution count? We will explore what it means for institutions to be good neighbors supporting the abundant gifts in the culture all around us. The keystone questions are: What are we willing to share? What will we be willing to grieve?
