<P>This Common Coordinate Framework Workshop is support by supported by the National Institutes of Health, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative and the Human Cell Atlas initiative.</P>

<H2>MEETING OBJECTIVES</H2>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal"><SPAN>The focus of the meeting will be on constructing a robust reference framework for defining location at multiple scales in the body, how to include lifespan, natural variation and disease phenotypes into this framework, while at the same time making it practical, simple and relevant. The format of the meeting will be a series of discussion topics around different aspects of a common coordinate system, spanning scales from pathology to anatomy, and we’ll post a more detailed agenda and description of the discussion topics in the coming weeks. The outcomes from this meeting will help inform the direction for NIH’s human atlas programs and the Human Cell Atlas initiative. Please note that we are unable to support travel and accommodation for this meeting.</SPAN></P>

<H3>AIRPORTS/METRO</H3>
<P>Reagan National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport and is connected to the <A HREF="http://www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Washington Metro" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Washington Metro</A>. Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) are approximately 45 minutes from the NIH campus but are not accessible through the Washington Metro.</P>
<P>The NIH campus (located at the Medical Center Station) is accessible from the recommended <A HREF="http://bethesda.hyatt.com/en/hotel/home.html" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Bethesda Hyatt" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bethesda Hyatt</A> (located at the Bethesda Station) via the Red Line of the <A HREF="http://www.wmata.com/rail/maps/map.cfm" TARGET="_blank" TITLE="Washington Metro" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Washington Metro</A>.</P>
<H3>NIH VISITOR INFORMATION</H3>
<P>The NIH campus requires a valid, current, photo ID for entry. Visitor passes must be worn at all times. If you leave campus and return at a later time, you will be required to go through security again upon re-entry. If you choose to travel to the NIH by car, please note that pay parking is available but space is extremely limited. All vehicles and passengers must be screened at the Gateway Visitor’s entrance. Please allow adequate time for security screening.</P>

<H2>FOOD & BEVERAGES</H2>
<P>Food and beverages are available at the <A HREF="https://www.ors.od.nih.gov/pes/dats/food/dining/Pages/dining_bldg31.aspx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Building 31 Cafeteria</A> located on the ground floor of the building we are meeting in. Hot and cold food selections are available throughout the day from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We will also offering a boxed sandwich or a boxed salad, both include a beverage, from the Corner Bakery on both days of the meeting. The cost for this is $17.00 per day.
