Leadership Strategies for Building a Healthy, Resilient Public Safety Organization
Course Overview
Leadership influences far more than operational performance. The attitudes, conversations, and decisions made by supervisors shape the psychological health, recovery, and resilience of every member they lead.
This highly interactive workshop equips public service leaders with practical strategies to recognize behavioral changes early, respond effectively to struggling personnel, promote healthy recovery, and build organizational cultures that support performance without sacrificing people.
Rather than focusing solely on mental illness or crisis intervention, this course examines the broader leadership decisions that influence sleep, stress, substance use, burnout, relationships, morale, and organizational resilience.
Participants will engage in facilitated discussion, small-group problem solving, case studies, and leadership scenarios designed specifically for fire service supervisors. The goal is to leave with practical leadership strategies that can be implemented immediately, regardless of department size.
