This program is designed to educate Incident Commanders in using proven tactics/skills to enable learning in the vast aspect of command.

Indian River State College Public Safety Complex

This program is a three day event that will cover Command and Control of fireground incidents. This course will be taught by experienced instructors from around the country. This program is designed to educate and challenge current and prospective incident commanders using proven tactics and skills to enable broad-spectrum learning in the vast aspects of command. Concepts in tactical comprehension, command presence, enhanced communication and skill application will be employed to teach and challenge the attendees. In addition, the psychological element, stress inoculation and recognition, and the management thereof, will be taught and practiced to cover all aspects of being an incident commander.This isn’t a simple program covering one topic nor is it plain scenarios -this is an in-depth, high impact education program designed to provide intense, realistic and functional skills needed to manage incidents of all types and severity. The program will use metrics to evaluate student performances at the beginning and at completion, to enable attendees to realize their improved performance and will be instructed by experienced educators and fireground commanders. If you are responsible for commanding incidents and overseeing operations where the lives of your personnel can be at stake, then this course is what you need to ensure confidence in your capabilities.
