Overview

Practical steps to accepting, including and supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent employees.

For some people, “coming out” doesn’t just happen once. LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent people may both face the decision of whether — and how — to share who they are at work. For those on the Double Rainbow intersection, being both Neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+, that can mean coming out twice or more.

Following National Coming Out Day, this webinar from Charlie Hart and Pride UK, will explore the research, lived experiences, and real-world impact of “coming out twice” at work, and how managers and HR professionals can create inclusive cultures where people feel psychologically safe to be their authentic selves.

The webinar covers:

· The history, context and definitions of the LGBTQ+ term ‘coming out’

· The research behind higher rates of LGBTQIA+ identity among neurodivergent people

· What the Double Rainbow is — and why intersectionality matters in the workplace

· How compounding minority stress and masking affects employee engagement and wellbeing

· Inclusion and allyship tips, resources, training and LGBTQ+ inclusion accreditation
