SAN DIEGO, CA – Comedy Trumps Hate; a one night stand with comedian favorites Jaye McBride, Allison Gill and Golden Globe winning TV series Transparent’s Ian Harvie. The show is taking place at Urban Mo’s Bar &amp; Grille on Tuesday, March 14th at 8PM. All the ticket sales will go directly to TransFamily Support Services to help youth and their families make the gender transitioning process the most positive experience possible. This event has been made possible by event producers Ian Harvie and Allison Gill, and co-chairs Dangilo Bonilla of Bollotta Entertainment and Lukas Volk of Urban Mo’s Bar &amp; Grill. 
 
About  Trans Family Support Services helps youth and their families make the gender transitioning process the most positive experience possible. TFSS provides services such as family coaching, assistance with healthcare and insurance issues, navigating the legal system, and advocating for resources and support at schools. At a systemic level, TFSS raises awareness and advocates for transgender acceptance in the social, medical, educational, media and legal communities.
 
IAN HARVIE: Having toured the world over with Margaret Cho, Harvie turned into a cross-country headliner and groundbreaking transgender comedian. He has performed at the world’s most prestigious comedy festivals: JUST FOR LAUGHS in Australia and Canada, and the MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL in Australia. Unafraid to joke about subjects no other comedian has ever touched, Ian’s unique act challenges the traditionally macho, sex-obsessed world of stand up in ways you won’t believe, proving that laughter cuts across all gender identities and ultimately unites us all. Ian made his acting debut as “Dale” in the critically acclaimed, Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning TV series TRANSPARENT on Amazon. Most recently, Harvie filmed his one-hour standup comedy special MAY THE BEST COCK WIN for SEESO (NBC’s digital network) and streams January 2017.
 
ALLISON GILL: Being voted San Diego’s funniest woman and famous comic not once but twice makes Allison a hot topic amongst the San Diego community. She performs regularly at major venues like The Improv, The American Comedy Company, the Laugh Factory and the Comedy Store to just name a few. In the world of comedy Allison has performed alongside the likes of Dane Cook, Doug Stanhope and the head writers of laughable shows like Tosh.O and Chelsea Lately.
 
JAYE MCBRIDE: Jaye McBride has performed stand-up all over the country, sharing the stage with stars like Aziz Ansari &amp; Jim Norton. In addition to stand-up, Jaye has written, produced and acted in a variety of short films. When not performing on-stage or on-screen Jaye writes “The Comedy Blog” for the Albany’s Times Union and speaks at colleges all across the country with her lecture about being transgender called ‘Trans 102: The Chamber of Secrets”  Having transitioned in 2007, Jaye is uniquely qualified to talk about awkward first dates, strained family relationships and self- acceptance.  Due to a death in the family, Ian Harvie will not be able to perform we will postpone this show.
 
MINOR SUSPENSION &amp; FINEST CITY IMPROV: Minor Suspension is an improvised musical team. They perform weekly at Finest City Improv and delight audiences with their unique stories they sing and share. More fun than West Side Story meets Glee! www.finestcityimprov.com
