About Avery:
Avery Callagy, at just 6 years old, faces the monumental challenge of battling Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, diagnosed suddenly and unexpectedly. Currently treated at Boston Children’s Hospital, Avery has displayed immense bravery and resilience. When she was initially told she had cancer, Avery's response was simply "Okay, that's fine." The strength and positive attitude shown the past week from Avery, her brother Greyson, and her Mom's Erin and Krystyna, has left us all in awe. Despite the grueling treatments, she has maintained her cheerful demeanor and even made fast friends with the hospital staff. Avery loves school and is active in sports like gymnastics, basketball, and soccer. Her energy and spirit is unmatched, as is the love she has for her little brother. She’s known for her vibrant spirit and competitive nature, often declaring “I won!” in games. Needless to say, she has the perfect attitude as she courageously fights and battles Leukemia. Her journey has been filled with ups and downs, and while the treatments are tough, Avery faces each day with a smile, supported unwaveringly by her family and care team.
Despite the harsh side effects of her treatments, Avery continues to fight with a spirit that inspires all who know her. Recent updates reveal a tough journey, with significant progress and moments of joy, like the special visit from the tooth fairy that brought a big smile to her face. Avery’s fighting spirit is evident, even as she endures weekly treatments and the various challenges that come with her condition.
We invite you to be part of this special evening. Your support through attendance, donations, or spreading the word will greatly assist Avery and her family during this critical time. Together, let's help Avery achieve her greatest victory!

About the Performers:
Christine Hurley: Christine loves what she does…making people laugh! Married with five kids, she is never at a loss for comedic material.
Like any great comedian, Christine has an innate ability to see humor in everyday situations. For years, she entertained family, friends and neighbors in their kitchens, at barbeques, and in the grocery store aisles. The only difference now is she uses a microphone and a stage.
Christine’s maiden voyage into the world of stand up comedy was an open audition in New York City. Nick at Nite was looking for "America's Funniest Mom." She figured if it didn’t go well, no one in New York would have known who she was anyway. But it did go well! Out of thousands of entries, Christine was selected to be a finalist on the nationally televised show.
Her stories and views on motherhood and marriage are exactly what everyone is living through…people get it and love it!
Christine Hurley has quickly become a favorite in the Boston comedy world. She works with, and is respected by Boston's comedic legends.
Joe Espi: Peabody’s Joe “Espi” Espinola has made himself an established name on the Boston comedy scene since his start in 2006, working regularly at Giggles and Kowloon Komedy, as well as fund-raisers and one-nighters around New England including Mohegan Sun, The Cabot, Black Box Theater, and the Mass Arts Center at Great Woods.
Sly and engaging, his good-hearted sarcasm and droll point-of-view along with his ability to be the punch-line of a joke has earned him fans from Boston to Bangor. His jabs at his childhood, dysfunctional family, and disastrous dates have made him a local favorite!
Chris Pennie: Chris Pennie has been entertaining crowds since 2005. As a life long bachelor and full-time single dad Chris relies on his dysfunctional family and offbeat view of the world to find humor in everyday life. If you have kids or were one in the past you’ll be entertained by Chris’ daily battles. In 2012, Chris has been a finalist in CMT's Next Big Comic. In 2011, he was a finalist in the Plymouth Rock Comedy Festival and Dick Doherty's Beantown Comedy Riots as well as being invited to the Laughing Skull Festival in Atlanta and the Boston Comedy Festival. Also notably, Chris was a finalist in the Mohegan Sun “Funniest Amateur Comic in New England.
