Colour the Void

Storytellers will share their stories. You will paint while they do. Not a portrait of the storyteller. Not an illustration of what happened. Whatever the story puts in front of you— a colour, a shape, a weather, a memory of your own that surfaces while you listen.

This is the opposite of live painting, where everyone watches one artist work. Here everyone paints, and the artist is the room.

Listening is easier with your hands busy. People who would never speak in a circle will say something over a wet brush. And a story that is hard to hold in words can sometimes be held in colour instead. No painting experience is needed, and nobody will look at your canvas unless you want them to.
