Colors of Remembrance: A Paint and Sip Tea Party For A Cause
Come join us and "The Eve On" at Broad & Eighth for a delightful afternoon of creativity and compassion! Our event, Colors of Remembrance, is a unique paint and sip tea party where you can express your artistic side while supporting a meaningful cause. Donations and tickets sales from this event will used for our mobile food distribution program.
About our Theme (Day of the Dead):
The theme of this event is inspired by the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos), which is celebrated on November 1st and November 2nd. On this holiday, families gather together to honor and celebrate the lives of their deceased loved ones through food, drinks, and festivities. The holiday is well-known for its colorful decoration, marigold flowers, calaveras (skulls), and calacas (skeletons), symbolizing the cycle of life and death. Nettie and Dance Inc., is a non-profit organization created to remember and honor the life of Annette "Nettie" Stubbins and Rhonda "Dance" Stubbins, two sisters who fought a strong battle against cancer.
