Color & Compassion - May

This series will merge art techniques from Robin Valenzuela and compassion-focused therapy from Valarie Smith, LPC. While your verbal participation will not be required, it will be encouraged. This class is a safe space to unleash creativity, connect with self and community, and increase our awareness of Color&Compassion.

LESSONS ON EMPATHY:

In this workshop, we’ll be creating a bird/bird cage collage on canvas board with written words and pieces of colorful paper. We’ll gently acknowledge ways we’ve felt trapped in situations or thought patterns, followed by a look at the skills and strengths used to get through. The final piece will be reflective of how we can free ourselves through self-compassion and empathy towards others.

Must be 18+
