Color & Compassion - August

This series will merge art techniques from Robin Valenzuela and compassion-focused mindfulness from Valarie Smith, LPC. While your verbal participation will not be required, it will be encouraged. This class is a safe space to unleash creativity, connect with self and community, and increase our awareness of Color&Compassion.

SUNFLOWER TOOL KIT:

In this workshop, we’ll use acrylic paint and various palette knives, or painting tools, to build texture and create a field of sunflowers. As we experiment with various tools to create dimension, we will also explore our own box of mental health tools, or skills that allow us to be like a sunflower and keep our faces pointed towards the sun. The final work will serve as a reminder that we have tools to build up a life of beauty.
