Participants will enhance connections, understand how to unlock access to resources, and discuss a collaborative strategy to address environmental and health risks faced by these communities.
This event consists of three parts:
1. Space is limited to attend an optional visit to communities on May 8.
A welcome and introduction will take place from 9:00am - 10:00am. The community site visits will run from 10:00am - 3:00pm.
2. Stakeholders from the Colonias and other disadvantaged, unincorporated communities will meet in-person the morning of May 9 to discuss needs, resources, and a collaborative strategy to provide needed services.
3. The final event will be a hybrid (in-person and Zoom options) webinar on the afternoon of May 9 to discuss environmental and climate justice opportunities through Community Change Grants.
