Over two full days, you will learn how to construct your own printing plates using a wide range of materials such as card, fabric, found objects, and textured surfaces. Guided through the process step by step, you’ll explore both relief and intaglio inking techniques, gaining an understanding of how to create rich, tactile prints with depth and character.

You’ll experiment with composition, layering, and colour, developing a small series of unique prints that reflect your personal style and creative ideas. Alongside practical demonstrations, there will be opportunities to explore contemporary and historical references, helping to expand your visual language and approach to printmaking.

By the end of the course, you will have produced a collection of original prints and gained the confidence to continue working independently with collograph techniques.
