Event description
Join the Collective for Black Iranians x #BecauseWeveRead Transnational Blackness Series Roundtable Conversation on Iran!

About this Event

#BecauseWe’veRead is excited to be collaborating with the Collective for Black Iranians to kick off a year-long series on Transnational Blackness! In this series we have tasked ourselves with uplifting and sharing these erased, and overlooked stories of Blackness as it exists, thrives, survives, and blooms around the world, from Tehran to Hebron.

Join us for the first unit and conversation with the authors of the texts as well as members of the Collective: Victoria Princewill, Beeta Baghoolizadeh, Pegah Bahadori, Alex Eskandarkhah, Priscillia Kounkou-Hoveyda, and Pardis Nkoy.

Also special thanks to Cassava Republic Press, the oldest female-led publishing house in West Africa, for partnering with us on this unit!

If you haven't yet grabbed your free copies of the special BWR-edition excerpts of Seeing Race and In the Palace of Flowers, you can do so at our website: https://becauseweveread.com/

Looking forward to seeing you soon!
