Learn the basics of collagraph printing, making your own prints and plates.

Collagraphs! From collage (you know what that means) and graph (for print), collagraphs can be made from a range of materials with endlessly diverse results. In this workshop we&#x27;ll discuss print design in positive and negative space, cut shapes from colorful foam and reassemble/glue them on 5x7inch &quot;plates&quot; of cardboard, then print them with washable water-based inks. Learn about this approachable printing technique and celebrate St Patrick&#x27;s Day creatively! All supplies and eventbrite fees are included, with 15% of class fees supporting the Firehouse Art Center. This workshop is led by Longmont artist Brandy Coons. Coons has curated exhibits at the Firehouse Art Center since 2018, after serving as the Director for ArtWalk Longmont from 2016. She creates drawings, paintings, prints, photographs and objects celebrating the domestic arts, art history, and the collector&#x27;s impulse.
