The lazy susans invite you to re-imagine your surroundings, taking one image from a magazine and letting this grow into a collective artwork. This is a drop-in workshop, so feel free to join for as long or as little as you like. We invite you to come and have a cup of tea and a natter in and amongst the exhibition. Finding endless possibilities from just one snip, one image, or collection of words.After the workshop we will disseminate parts of the collage into the charity shops and hairdressers who supplied the materials, leaving a seedling of an idea to develop further through a new set of eyes.

the lazy susans are a curatorial collective that share culture in a rotating style; friends, creatives and side-hustle connaisseurs. Co-founded by Kaia Goodenough, Holly Pines and Mala Yamey in 2021, the lazy susans present exhibitions, workshops and live events that give back to local communities in a cyclical style through charity partnerships. @the.lazysusans

Accessibility: There is step-free access to the gallery via the door to the left hand side of the main entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet. The event will be taking place in the exhibition space, which is a large open room with bright lighting and some seating available.

<a href="https://www.staffordshirest.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Staffordshire St</a> is an independent project space in Peckham, South East London. The venue facilitates arts and cultural events and provides affordable studios for artists, makers and designers. ​The venue was recently established as an art gallery, before then it was for many years a community centre and originally it was built as a Methodist Hall. Staffordshire St will build on the established record of these histories, opening up again to the neighbourhood and developing a welcoming interdisciplinary arts space. Staffordshire St presents The Store, an exhibition and collaborative programme of events centred around a potato store in Norfolk. Curated by Kaia Goodenough, The Store is a response to Tilly Wace’s interdisciplinary film and research project. Together they present an exhibition of film, photography and creative writing to create a metaphor for a source of energy through live activations. Questioning the multiplicity of dark spaces, embodiment, tangent thought and collective movement. The gallery space will become a site for dance, music, film and community workshops connecting the photo, the potato and the body to celebrate the juxtaposition and similarities of playful abstraction, improvisation and repetition.‘An escape root from fixity, a form of slowing down. A means to which enter a smooth space. The work of the imagination, voyages of discovery, a journey which itself produces the terrain of maps.’ (Simon O’sulivan)This culminates in a reimagining of a wider and more comprehensive understanding of the rural and the potato through the photographic, performance and community engagement.
