They are an Assistant Visiting Professor at Pratt Institute, as well as Founder and Creative Director of The Operating System (http://www.theoperatingsystem.org/).Cory Tamler (www.corytamler.com) is a writer, translator, and theatre artist making and studying open-ended performance work. She is a Ph.D. student in Theatre and Performance at The Graduate Center, CUNY.

Collaborative Precarity Bodyhacking is a series of cross-disciplinary workshops addressing precarity’s trauma-resonant effects on mind and body programming. These intensive gatherings will employ individual and group work that includes writing, performance, movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and dialogue. We will make space for reading, ritual, and emergent documentation. No previous experience in any of these disciplines is necessary, and exercises will be adaptable to the needs and abilities of different bodies.

Class size is limited -- please register in advance!
Please note: the facilitators have developed an original interdisciplinary workbook/guide for the project, with exercises, prompts, a performance score and extensive resources that students will need to purchase. We are offering this book at a sliding scale $5-$10, please let us know if that presents any barrier to your entry.
Collaborative Precarity Bodyhacking is part of resistance fantasies: strategies for moving toward— and against—, the umbrella title of (i) a come-and-go-as-you-wish dance performance and (ii) a series of somatic experiments/workshops happening during Exponential Festival in January 2019.
