It is noisy, busy, buzzing, and chaotic. Now reimagine the landscape without any infrastructure. On this canvas, the only infrastructure you now intentionally place is an eco-conscious, artist-led, science-centred, cooperative grassroots community network.Collaborative Movements is a multimedia amplifier that centres community initiatives through a documentary series, a podcast, a website hub, and community events. These efforts highlight and support a network of third spaces, community centres, social enterprises, non-profit organizations, social innovation labs, and more. Tackling diverse themes such as local arts, sciences, sustainability, community mental health, social housing, food insecurity, IBPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, and immigrant stories, Collaborative Movements aims to foster community engagement, address pressing issues, and further community collaboration.Join us for the Collaborative Movements Launch Event on Saturday, 3rd August, 2024, from 2 to 5 PM at Incubator13 at Rideau Hub, Ottawa. Free Parking Available. This event is a gathering of people and organizations invested in the themes and goals of the Collaborative Movements project. It aims to introduce this collective to the project's details, featuring networking opportunities, presentations, and refreshments.The event will showcase interactive discussions, allowing attendees to explore opportunities to collaborate on the project and understand its scope. Learn about the initiatives shaping our city, connect with local change-makers, and explore how you can contribute to creating communities of care.This is more than an event; it's a movement.
